Villiersdorp is a leisurely 90 minutes drive from Cape Town. Founded in 1843 the village still holds some of the old French Huguenot colonial character. Cushioned by the Baviaans and Waterval mountains and with vineyards, fruit and olive groves it is a beautiful place to visit. The town is also close to the Theewaterskloof dam.

The golf course at the Theewatersklof Country Estate is rated one of the top nine hole courses in the country and well worth it.
