Pringle Bay

Nestled between the majestic Kogelberg mountains and the Atlantic ocean, Pringle Bay is a treasure of tranquillity less than a hour from the Cape Town airport. Driving to the village is a ride to remember. Entering the R44 from Gordon’s Bay, Clarence Drive is one of the most beautiful coastal passes in the world.

The little sleepy village is a wonderful vacation spot for the outdoor enthusiast, especially if you enjoy spending time with the ocean. Explore beautiful rock pools and go swimming, snorkelling or fishing. If you are a bit more adventurous, get a permit and dive for your dinner. The area is renowned for crayfish and rock lobster. The Pringle Bay beach is well looked after and one of the more quiet beaches in the area. Perfect for working on that long lost sun tan. The lagoon at the beach is also a great place to take it easy and spend time with your children. Or to do some bird watching.

Pringle Bay is one of the villages located in the Kogelberg Biosphere with amazing opportunities for hiking. Other attractions such as the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and the African Penguin colony in Betty’s Bay is but a short drive away.

After an active day you would be glad to know that restaurants in the village are totally worth a visit!
