Betty’s Bay

Overview

If you are in need of peace and quiet, this is the place. The charming coastal town of Betty’s Bay lies between Pringle Bay and Kleinmond on the Whale Coast Route (R44).

Properties in Betty’s Bay blend in with the fynbos and preserve some of the natural unspoiled character of this amazing area. It is a holiday spot for lovers of nature and offers an abundance of outdoor activities. The Harold Porter National Botanical Gardens is an absolute must see. Enjoy tea or lunch at the restaurant and stroll up to the stunning Disakloof waterfall.

Another favourite, especially for the kids, is a visit to the African Jackass Penguin colony at Stony Point. The scenery is fantastic and recently an eatery was added to this beautiful location. A few other activities include swimming, sandboarding, surfing, mountain biking and hiking along the coast or into the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. Do contact the Oudebosch office in the reserve for more information and permits when you are ready to pull on your hiking boots, (0)28 271 5138.
